Here’s the updated version with the additional details about your experience in digital marketing and Jiu-Jitsu practice:
Let me share with you a story. Over the years, I’ve come to see reading as an incredibly transformative way to develop myself, and it has truly proven its worth. I have so much to share, but I’ll keep it concise so that my words don’t feel overwhelming or tiresome. Here’s how it all began.
Every morning, I used to wake up and wonder: What is my true purpose? Am I on the right path with what I’m currently doing?
My journey with reading began in March 2020, during the pandemic. When the world came to a standstill with lockdowns, I found myself facing a moment of introspection. As someone living in India, the nationwide lockdown was an unprecedented shift. It became a turning point for me as remote work became the norm.
With the sudden flexibility in my schedule, I decided to make the most of this opportunity. I set out to rediscover myself through books. The process began with research—what would be the perfect book to start this journey? Platforms like Goodreads became my trusted guide, offering endless recommendations and reviews. I was amazed to see readers worldwide sharing the same passion for books, discussing their thoughts, and connecting over literature.
Although I already owned a small collection of books, I decided to expand my library and try out various genres. I’ve always enjoyed exploring how different authors convey their ideas, theories, and perspectives. Writing reviews and sharing ratings became a daily habit, and I started engaging with others, learning from their views. This turned into an enriching experience—something that added purpose to my evenings.
I began dedicating time to reading every night after work. Those peaceful hours became my sanctuary. Eventually, I decided to share my journey with the world by starting Instagram and Facebook pages where I documented my reading experiences. To my surprise, this garnered recognition and appreciation, encouraging me further.
The biggest change came on June 3, 2020, when I left my job to pursue my passion. I realized that the knowledge I’d gained over the past few months could be channeled into something meaningful. I started teaching myself about blogging, website creation, and digital marketing, which allowed me to reach even more people and help others grow through my expertise.
Outside of reading and my professional journey, I am also a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner. Training in this discipline has taught me focus, resilience, and the value of continuous improvement. It has become a vital part of my personal growth and complements my intellectual pursuits perfectly.
As Steve Jobs once said:
“Innovation is saying no to a thousand things. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking.”
These words resonate deeply with me. Looking back, what started as a way to spend my time during lockdown has now become a journey of self-discovery and purpose, enriched by my love for reading, my experience in digital marketing, and my passion for Jiu-Jitsu.
This version integrates your digital marketing expertise and Jiu-Jitsu practice seamlessly into the narrative.
